car in bright Italian red, with Cream leather interior with red piping, tan suede roof lining, standard automatic transmission with no paddle shift to worry about. This car has been lovingly looked after since it was first bought by its first owner who owned his own specialist car garage and since by me from 2009 until now. I`m a Vehicle technician with 15 years experience, I run a full car workshop at present. Business re structuring and expansion is forcing me to sell my pride and joy :-( a car like this is a fantastic vehicle for a technician to own, since looking after the car im always amazed at its engineering, typical Italian... sometimes a pain in the butt but always worth the effort. The car is just a pleasure to drive, always leaves a smile on your face and the power is amazing. this car is not for the faint hearted!it has had new front pads and discs fitted, new cambelt, fanbelts and full service including spark plugs 3 thousand miles ago, engine oil has always been changed with Selenia Racing 10w/60 oil and all genuine maserati parts have been used, oil changed twice a year regardless of mileage. Lambda sensors were replaced earlier this year along with a new battery. Everytime I place the car on one of my ramps I always check the crankshaft end float and its always been absolutely fine. excess crank endfloat can be a huge problem on neglected cars (more often on manuals due to the heavy clutch pressure needed) luckily the autos dont get this amount of punishment due to no clutch being used, top that off with the correct oil and regular oil changes this should never be a problem.the car has later spec Assetto Corsa wheels fitted which are finished in anthracite metallic grey, no kerb damage either since full refurb in late 2010.comes with the all important red code key for the ecu immobiliser. interior is in great condition for its age and mileage, only one slight scratch on the passenger rear seat back, drivers seat has minimal base wear, all in all its in lovely condition. Exterior had a full detail using Gtechnic detailing products,,, 10 hours of work by a professional detailing company which has brought a lovely shine back on the exterior, the paint work has minor and expectable marks from its 11 years and 90,000 mile use! Bad points - being totally honest and in mind with the price asked there is a couple of very small faults which need sorting, if the car doesnt sell then i will be doing them for myself but as the a jobs at hand are time consuming then im willing to offer the car at a price respective of these faults. Rear Cylinder block Knock sensor (sensor 2) has a circuit error, needs a new sensor. these are available from Fiat or Alfa romeo as well as Maserati, cost about £45 max but require about 2 to 3 hours of work.Rear ABS sensors need replacing, ABS works fine but the speed reference pick up for the transmission takes a signal from these (which is plausable) and therefore brings the transmission warning lamp on intermittantly when cruising over 70 mph for longer than 20 minutes or so, this glitch comes and goes and isnt a serious problem as such, just typical 10 year old electrics and the sensors are not that expensive, and again require a bit of time to fit. this is a true enthusiasts car and as such needs some looking after and it will never suit being used as a commuter or as a everyday car, owning a car like this is like a love affair and needs someone who understands and appreciates what they are looking at.
